Management Services: Expedited Peer Review
96 hours to determine liability in a case of grave concern? QMCG will support
with rapid efforts to determine causal factors in cases of legal and sentinel
concern. Selected QMCG practitioners will accommodate the urgent peer review
needs of your medical staff. When time is of the essence – QMCG will be there
for you, up to and including at a fair hearing process. All project discussions
are confidential and proposals are complimentary.

GOAL:
|
To obtain an expedited (96 hour) objective evaluation of an individual
practitioner's performance in an unanticipated death/unanticipated outcome
which may include allegations of criminal misconduct and/or investigations by
regulatory agencies.

WHEN NEEDED:
|
QMCG Expedited Peer Review Evaluation of a practitioner's performance is
appropriate when there is immediate need to determine if care delivery is
within standards of care as the case may result in a review and investigations
by third parties.

DESCRIPTION:
|
QMCG will conduct an independent review of the subject practitioner's care as
reflected in a single expedited episode of care of concern using the following
process:

Immediate
selection and credentialing of a qualified peer review practitioner who has no
bias or conflict of interest with the practitioner(s) to be reviewed
-
A ninety-six hour turnaround time from receipt of medical record to final
report
-
Concise standard of care determination with detail on alternatives of care and
opportunity for improvement
-
Opportunity for conference call on the day of final report receipt to review
results
-
Ongoing support as needed, i.e., testimony at a fair hearing, assistance in the
development of retraining or monitoring programs

DURATION:

The Expedited Peer Review Evaluation process can be accomplished in 96 hours or
less.
