Ohio’s Long-Term Care Bed Prices are Decreasing

The purchase price for the operating rights to long-term care beds in Ohio is
decreasing based on updated data for the first 6 months of 2010. The average
purchase price per bed for certificate of need applications filed with the Ohio
Department of Health in 2009 and approved on or before January 20, 2010 was
$22,639. Updating this information for certificate of need applications filed
in 2009 and approved on or before June 6, 2010 shows that the average purchase
price decreased to $17,206 per bed. This figure remains consistent at $17,955
per bed for the 3 certificate of need applications filed in 2010 and approved
on or before June 6, 2010.
